1. Size and number of people
The size of the dining table you need depends on the available space and the number of seats. When deciding on the size of your dining table, take walking space into account. We recommend keeping at least 80 cm space around the table so that you can move your dining chair forwards and backwards without difficulty. Another thing to think about is the number of seats. Consider the size of your household. Do you often have guests over or do you want to expand the family in the future? 2. What shape dining table is right for my space?
These days, you have a wide choice of dining table shapes. The rectangular dining table is the most popular. This table is easy to use and you can position it in many areas. If the space is narrow, it's best to choose an oval table so that enough people can sit at it while you have room to walk around it. A round dining table is best suited to smaller spaces, as it allows you to use the space efficiently. Don't like round dining tables but have a limited space? Then choose a square dining table.
3. Extendable/fold-out tables
An extending or folding table provides plenty of seating at the dining table. For that dinner with friends, a lovely birthday or with extra family at christmas. With this type of table, you can easily add an extra piece. This gives you a large dining table when it suits you best! When you have people over, you can easily adjust the table to your liking.
4. Dining table height
If you have dining chairs with armrests, it is important that you check whether they fit underneath. We therefore recommend that you measure the arm height of your current chair. In addition, take into account the measurement from the underside of the table top to the ground. This will prevent dining chairs from not fitting under your table.
5. Maintenance of the dining table
In general, lif24 tables are treated with varnish or oil. This ensures that it is dirt and moisture resistant. Making spilt food or drinks easy to clean and virtually maintenance-free. When it comes to an untreated wooden table, this will always be specified. In that case, make sure that you treat the dining table properly with the appropriate products before using it.
